A painting inspired by a quiet evening spent on Thirteenth Beach, Barwon Heads, watching the tide wash in underneath a soft pastel sky. This piece was one of the first paintings I created when I began using oil paints again in 2022 and I’ve had it hanging up in my studio ever since I completed it. There’s something so peaceful about simply watching the waves wash onto the shore and then recede back into the ocean, leaving wet sand for the light to reflect in. I hope this painting captures that sense of calm.
This is the original painting and the only one of it’s kind.
