My first painting of 2026—an oil on paper painting inspired by my new routine of evening walks along the coast in Port Fairy. This beach is the perfect place to watch the sun set and has become a favourite of mine with so many beautiful plants growing in the dunes.
On this particular evening I was struck by the very last of the evening sun on the dunes, everything awash in an orange glow.
I hope it conjures up feelings of warm Summer evenings spent by the sea.
